CreativesUnite online conference on the future of the CCS

For over one month, the CreativesUnite platform has been showcasing CCI initiatives from Europe and beyond as a response to the Covid-crisis that hit the sector so badly. Following a virtual meeting of EU Ministers of Culture held on 19 May 2020, Commissioner Gabriel proposed an online conference with the cultural and creative sectors, where the Commissioner herself and key EU policy-makers would meet CCS stakeholders to reflect on what has been done until now in response to the crisis and to plan together for a new future.

Creative FLIP launches www.CreativesUnite.eu – the Artists and Creatives Community Covid-19 Resource Platform

The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the globe, causing a serious health crisis that not only has cost the livelihood of millions, but also has a severe impact on the sustainability of many sectors of the economy, and especially the Cultural and Creative Industries all around Europe. Despite the disruption to everyday life, creatives remained creative and many hopeful initiatives arose out of this situation. The technological possibilities combined with the conducive nature of the sector have both contributed to the spread of information but also prevented a more complete and cohesive action.
