Interactive Workshop on Finance for CCIs
On 18th June 2019, the Creative FLIP Finance Team led by IDEA Consult, together with Inforelais and Values of Culture, held an Interactive Workshop on Finance for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) at the Goethe-Institut in Brussels.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current state of affairs and barriers for CCIs to access finance, as well as to exchange good practices and lessons learned. Another focus was put on how actors from the Cultural and Creative Sector can combine different financing instruments to strengthen their capacities and foster the sector’s growth.
During three productive working sessions in smaller groups, 28 participants with various backgrounds such as cultural and creative entrepreneurs, sector representatives, policy makers at different levels (EU, national, regional/local), and financial service providers shared their experiences and discussed possible improvements to related policy frameworks.
The results of this workshop, gathering the main stakeholders in the field, will feed into the policy recommendations of the Creative FLIP project with respect to improving the financial ecosystem for CCIs in Europe.Paragraph
This workshop was part of the activities of the Creative FLIP project, which objective it is to support healthy and sustainable ecosystems for Cultural and Creative Industries. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
